As I think that it is definitely interesting to see the world of stickers from the point of view of a collector, I also start with this section in the Blog and invite Rober on the Hatch stage...
Rober is like a brother to me in terms of addiction and fun level when it comes to stickers.
Even when we met at the museum more than ten years ago, there was such an intimate connection and it has more than held until today !
It is so great to realize that the distance between Madrid and Berlin does not matter at all and with every email and WhatsApp you have the feeling to talk about stickers right next to each other or to share the latest news from your life !
Thank you and Chin Chin that you are so, on the next ten years and here now a little tale of his collector life...
How did it all start?
As a kid I loved collecting stickers, the typical ones you get in sports stores, or others from the world of motorsports. But it wasn't until 2011, on my first visit to Berlin, that I visited and discovered Hatch. It was then that I discovered how many artists were making cool stickers and how many brands were collaborating with artists to create cool designs for their brands. It was that visit that made me a crazy collector.
How and what do you collect?
I collect by trading and buying. In the beginning I collected all kinds of stickers. But now I've become more picky and specifically look for artists and some skate and streetwear brands whose designs I like. Then I organize them by artists or brands and later put them in blackbooks. But right now I have so much accumulated that I don't have time to put the blackbooks together.
Your favorites and why?
Uffff, to say which ones are my favorites is very difficult, there are a lot of people who are really cool Sticker do. But I will name my top 10.
1 - Hatch Artists
2 - Obey
3 - Fortress
4 - 123klan
5 - Ekiem
6 - Dr. Hofmann 27
7 - Mittenimwald
8 - Lzrw
9 - Neko
10 - Bltr
11 - Psyco
Ugh... 10 isn't enough, a few more are missing...
Your wish list highlights?
My most wanted Sticker are the old ones from 123klan, the old ones from Fortress, the old ones from Obey, the Ice Cream Pack from BuffMonster and many other cool ones Sticker, but mostly old designs.
