Sticker... Own art movement or nice side phenomenon and why ?
Sticker are (meanwhile) omnipresent. Not only in public space they are accessible art for everyone who wants to look at them.
Almost every artist from whatever direction sooner or later also uses the medium sticker.
Sticker are super popular with the masses, even if sometimes somewhat undervalued.
My own sticker collection also has an emotional value.
Own sticker story in keywords (first sticker contact, first design, current status, own favorite design, good quick sticker story ?)
Sticker have always had a certain fascination for me - I have collected and traded them already in elementary school.
I designed my first stickers in the early 2000s - individually drawn with permanent markers on simple sticky labels. Designs at that time were already beans, rather quickly drawn with simple slogans, but not particularly durable.
Finally, I started putting more effort into the individual designs and printed them myself on durable vinyl and cut them out individually.
My budget at the time was just too small to have larger quantities printed. Also, it would have been impossible for me to choose just one design to print a large number of.
When I started tattooing in 2009 I got new influences and that pushed me even further. Among tattoo artists, stickers have a fixed value.
Meanwhile, quality stands with me before quantity, so I make rather rare stickers, if then but to a larger theme / project or with a more elaborate idea (mostly).
Favorite sticker artist and / or favorite sticker and why ?
There I really can not commit - I enjoy the variety and enjoy new stickers on my way through the city - and especially in more rural areas, because there you can hardly find anything in public.
Why this artist name ?
I have not thought about the name for a long time, that has somehow come quite early all by itself so ... Always found beans great, so from the meaning. The bean became my icon that has constantly recurred everywhere.
